Dependent Loses Eligibility

A dependent's age, marriage, or graduation from college may affect your benefits, even though it is not considered a "change in family status." Therefore, planning ahead is important.

If your child is turning 19, no longer in school, dropping out or finishing school, dependent coverage ends as of the end of the month in which the dependent exceeds the age limits or no longer meets full-time student or dependent eligibility requirements.
