Casa Grande Mountain Retreat a former coffee plantation dating back to the 19th century, now exquisitely landscaped, has 20 rooms scattered up the mountainside, immersed in the rich flora of a tropical forest. All rooms have screened windows, a dresser, night table or night stand, reading light, clothes pole and shelf, private bath, balcony, and hammock. Rooms have no cooking facilities, TV, radio, air conditioner or telephone. There is a public phone on the property.

A fresh-water swimming pool is cradled beneath a green mountain vista. A fully equipped yoga center is used for individual and group practice.

The compound also offers hiking trails, restaurant and conference center. Jungle Jane's Restaurant serves local and international dishes.
